Detailed CITI Registration Instructions

The online course in the ethics of human research is made available at no cost to UR students through the University's subscription to the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) based at the University of Miami. Many major universities and colleges subscribe to the CITI training service.

While CITI courses are often thought by many to be interesting, some users regard the registration process to be cumbersome. As of January 4, 2016 there have been 3,460 student CITI registrations, with most students successfully completing CITI training. However, every year some students will register for and take a CITI course which does not fulfill their requirements.
